Installation Options
Option 1 - Quick Iron On (easiest):
1. Position the patch exactly where you want it on the uniform.
2. Cover the patch with a thin cloth to protect it.
3. Press a hot iron firmly on top for 15 to 20 seconds.
4. Let it cool completely before moving the uniform.
Option 2 - Iron and Stitch On (recommended for Jiu-Jitsu use):
1. First, iron the patch in place as described above. This locks it in position so it does not move
2. Then have a local tailor stitch around the edges of the patch.
3. This combination makes the patch extremely durable. It will not come off no matter how many times the uniform is washed or pulled during training.
Why Option 2 is best for Jiu-Jitsu
While the heat-seal alone holds well for casual wear, Jiu-Jitsu training involves a lot of pulling, gripping and stress on the uniform. The iron-on locks position, and the stitching ensures the patch stays put permanently through hundreds of washes and training sessions.
